Hi-DRILINE®
Long-lasting Hi-DRILINE® Geomembranes
Geomembranes are used to line dams and water storage facilities as they form a protective layer around water facilities. While they may be made from different types of materials, the one type of material that does stand out above the rest is Hi-DRILINE.
Hi-DRILINE is a high density, polyethylene made from a very high quality resin. Using Hi-DRILINE in materials produces a very tough and durable material which is UV resistant and can therefore be used in highly erosive environments such as dams and canals.
The benefits of using long-lasting Hi-DRILINE geomembranes are:
- Improved water quality – geomembranes protect its contents from infiltrating substances such as polluted underground rivers. In production, mining, manufacturing and water supply for human consumption, the quality of water is very important and this quality is constantly under attack by its natural or manmade enemies.
- Improved water management – geomembranes containing Hi-DRILINE help to contain liquid substances, preventing liquid from seeping through container barriers.
- Protect the structure of the dam, container or water storage facility – the membrane will protect the external structure by preventing corrosive liquids from causing too much damage to it.
- Protect the environment from pollution – membranes help to contain harmful liquids, so that they do not contaminate the environment. Substances such as toxic waste and harmful chemicals can be better contained if held in facilities with geomembrane linings.
